Title: Airport Security

Do you think that airport security has gotten a bit out of hand? Do you feel some of your rights are being violated by these rules? Or do you favor them because of the increased safety they have provided?

Ever since 9/11 I believe the Airports are doing what is necessary to keep all future flights safe and terrorist free.
They got disguised marshals on every flight now, any kind of funny looking items they pick up in their baggage x-ray thingy.....they do a full scale search so I don't believe these extra precautions are ridiculous.
Yeah it may take longer to get on board but it's worth it if it saves your life!

It's all a part of the times we live in, there are so many people doing the wrong thing that now no one can be trusted for the sake of all of us. It's inconvenient, sure, but it's necessary.

When they did the liquids, I got pretty pissed, baby formula is needed and with the liquids policy, they can't bring it on board, I found that pretty stupid. If they wanted to ban liquids, ban the ones that can make shit explode, not feed a kid.

Airport security hasn't been better. Researchers have been reporting this ever since 9/11. It's only the illusion of safety. Also, I doubt they put any law enforcement officials on planes. Think of all the flights occurring in and out of the country. Not only that, but all of the flights within the country. There's no way.
I remembered I had to go on a plane to home on the same day they told us to not have liquids in our luggage. The lines got longer and slower because everybody at the airport had to get their bags checked and had to throw their liquids in trashcans.
I remembered I was hugging my cousin and saying goodbye in the metal detector line. One of the airport workers saw us and said "Sir, you cannot do that," and was walking really quickly towards us with some kind of object in her hand pointing at us (a radio or something I don't remember). I got pissed. We couldn't hug at an airport!? WTF!? What did you think we were going to do? I still wouldn't be able to pass through security if she gave me something IN THE LINE BEFORE REACHING THE METAL DETECTORS. Maybe it would seem weird if she gave me something around the metal detectors, but not in the line before even passing security. My cousin started making a scene, and I started laughing because it was like 4 in the morning and nobody wanted to hear all this mess this early. So yeah. I almost missed my plane, but it was all good.

Glasgow Airport had a lockdown after a guy drove a car through the wall and into the departure lounge.
