Did you receieve pocket money as a kid? Still do perhaps? How much do you usually get?

I get $15 a week for the multiple house chores I do daily.

I'm not proud of that BTW. I worked Really hard for the past year to get everything I wanted and didn't ask for my parents help.

Between 5 and 25 a week depending on whether or not I've been a bit of a pain in the arse and if I've finished my duties around the house.

Yeah I used to get money by doing various chores, not any more. I just don't like the idea of asking my parents for money now, I like to earn whatever I need it myself. If it involves high expenses like college, they might help out but minor things like food I take care of it.

I never got an allowance. I was pretty spoiled as a child, but when my parents divorced..I pretty much was on my own. I had to get a job when I was 15 and even since then I've been working for what I have.

No, as a kid, I have to take on the responcibility as an adult. And NOT get paid for it. The other day I asked my g-ma for some money for the fair. She gave it to me and the next day I woke up and she told me to get ready for church.

And if you guys don't know already, I'm an Atheist. I don't go to church...and then she told me... "Yeah, since I gave you that money you have ton do as I say" she's f-ing crazy.

But other then that. Yeah, I get a couple bucks...n I one or two for like... a soda after school or somthing. Never much. Unless I really need it.

but i have to work for everything. like i worked my a** off this summer to get a student loan to buy my car.. but i also had to finance some of it.. so it was like blegh. mom and dad are helping me a little with the note since im in school and can't pay it. but really i pay for everything.. including my nearly 200 $ a month insurance :/

True, but now that I'm living out in a dorm, it dwindles pretty fast and since I also have to pay for gas, about 5 trips home and back will give me an empty tank.

Nope i never got an allowence when i was younger. Well atleast not a "direct" allowence. My parents did buy me alot of things though so i guss you could call that an in-direct allowence. Now though i usally buy all of my own things. I did have a job for some time when i first turned 15 but i had to quit it do to various reasons. Iam almost 16 now and i plan on getting another job soon. Just havnt got around to it yet lol xD.

I used to get an allowance of 10 dollars per week and 10 more for lunch, but now I work so I no longer get an allowance.

I never had an allowance, the only way I got money was on my birthday, Chinese New Year, and sometimes Christmas. But usually it would be a pretty large amount. My parents though would buy things I would want only if I could earn it by good grades and stuff.
