What is your opinion on sexism and sexist people?

it really pisses me off.

like my dad says the reason why louisiana is so screwed up is because kathleen blanco, our governor, is a woman.. and can't handle the office.

i was pissed at his comment. and now i support hillary all of the time.. right in front of him.. usually on purpose. :]

Aha, yes. I think women can run things just as well as men, it's just a matter of those women putting themselves forward.

I hate sexism in all it's forms. When I say I play the guitar people think it's acoustic because I'm a girl... However, it was pretty funny when my little cousin thought my dad would like Manchester United just because he was a guy from Manchester (my dad hates sport)!

Could we just like take away the 'ism' from this topic then it would be my kind of topic XD.

Margaret Thatcher's utter decimation of Britain's Coal Mining Instrustry... my dad got laid off from this and my hometown (a coal mining town) has litteraly fell apart over the years.

Sexism is just another example of the ABSOLUTE WONDER that is stupidity. Whether it be against women (chauvinists) or against men (crazed feminists).

I honestly have no clue as to how such stupidity came into existance in the first place.

It's obvious that gender has nothing to do with whether a person is good or horrible at something. It's about how they think, the skills they possess, etc. etc.

I agree with Meteor, sexist people are just stupid, everything taken to an extreme is just stupid no matter what it is.

Well the origins may go to almost the early begginings of mankind itself, but who knows, as for me; I either ignore them or laugh at them, there's several things that man can do better than women and other things women can do better than man.

My only opinion of this whole issue is, we are all humans, we may have differences but noone is superior than other for being from a different gender, race, religion and such. Discrimination is stupid.

Exactly. It has a lot more to do with the person (man or woman) as an individual than whether or not one sex is better at something than the other.
