Title: Black Violence Discussion
Infamouz One - October 16, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
My Board has come up with a very interesting discussion about the Violence taking place in the World.
Recently, a teen in Ohio killed himself and shot several other people before doing so.
This Newscaster said very ignorant things and blamed it on Rap Music.
Little did he know, the teen was actually Caucasian.
He tried to cover up his words, but he failed.

We got this whole motherf*cker on a mission
Now the whole entire world's gotta try to come up with a quick decision
They claim we threats to society
And now they callin on the government to try and make somebody quiet
For the bullsh*t they done to me
Gangsta Nip, Spice 1 or 2Pac never gave a gun to me
So gangsta rap ain't done s**t for that
I've even seen white folks from River Oaks go get the gat
So why you tryin kick some dust up
America's been always known for blaiming us n*ggas for they f**k-ups
And we were always considered evil
Now they tryin to bust our only code of communicating with our people
Lets peep the game from a different angle
Matt Dillon pulled his pistol every time him and someone tangled
So why you criticize me
For the s**t that you see on your tv
That rates worse than PG
Just bring your a** to where they got me
So you can feel the hand of the dead body
--Scarface - Hand of the Dead Body
That song was the first thing that popped into my head.

News to me...>< I hate how people blame stuff on rap music and stuff, though I'm not a fan of rap myself...But it's laughable that the newsperson messed up.

It's easier for them to blame Rap Music than to go and find out the truth for themselves.

Forget the music. Maybe he was just crazy.
"Do we eliminate crazy from the dictionary?" -Chris Rock
I listen to all sorts of stuff and never have i had the urge to go out and kill, and my dad as 3 very bloody powerful shotguns in a cabinet at the base of the steps to my bedroom.
if i kill someone and they ask what music was i listening to, all there gonna find are soundtracks from FF7, FF8 and the "Beer Songs" from pyschostick and Weird Al Yankovich XD.
who they gonna blame then? probably Barret from FF7 :XD:

They do the same thing with video games. People will find anything to blame the violence on other than just that the person might have had serious mental problems, whether they were caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, merely a personality disorder, or by the person's upbringing. While I'm not one for Rap music myself (in most cases), I don't see any more reason to blame violence on that than on video games.
ETA: I hate it when people blame violence on video games, btw. I'm a Game Art & Design major, and whenever I'd tell people that at work, I'd get the huge "Oh My God you're going to make kids go out and kill each other!" speech, regardless of the fact that all the gamers I know use games to relieve stress and take out their anger, so that they won't do it to actual people.

They also try to disguise the real factors like poverty, home violence and such, blaming to other things such as music videogames.
Where I live, on the hihglands were indigenous people live, most of violence comes from the feeling of issolation they have, they feel the law doesn't protect them and they take justice with their own hands. Poverty and ignorance are also very important factors that created violence in my opinion.
As my grandmother used to say, "El hàbito no hace al cura" or the Robes doesn't make the priest what it is.
