Rumors effects people lives... In words. Why do people make up rumors? To get attention? To get noticed? Or are they true?

I say... Rumors are the truth. But the truth could be a lie, as noone knows the real truth.

Rumors can also be pure fabrication. People usually make up rumors for self-gain, they either make themselves look good or make someone look bad.

Usually people with so self-esteem do it to make themselves feel better by making others feel worse, or maybe they just plain hate them and want to embarrass them.

People also make up rumors about themselves. Now thats to get attention!

Anyhow, they don't affect me all that much, as not many get spread about me. I also don't spread them. If it's true, it isn't really a rumor, that's just spreading a fact, or gossip in a way. Rumors are untrue stories made up about a person/people. I think rumors are stupid, and are often just used for vengeance on a person.

It's no big deal. If it's not affecting your life in some way I say ignore it. Some just start rumors because they have nothing better to do. Rumors only get me noticed more.

People usually make up roomers to better themselves. Rumors are usually based on some sort of truth but they also can be completely made up.

Rumors are a normal thing in a teenagers life. I believe people who begin rumors are well seeking attention if it is just a lie about someone. They are just wanting the person to get hated or something also. Like one of these girls I sit with before school and during choir. She started alot of rumors about me, but no one believed her O.o; And none of it was true at all. Rumors aren't always lies, because people will believe pretty much anything they are told for the most part. I was told I started a rumor in the 3rd grade, but it was the whole truth! V.v I got annoyed when I got in trouble for telling the truth. So you never know.

I hated being a teenagers because of rumors...I'm so glad I have been out of that for a couple of years. Rumors are stupid, wrong, and unfair to all involved.

I actually find a lot of rumors funny. I don't know why, I guess I'm used to them by now that they don't faze me.

Rumors are nothing but low life schemes for people that can not face there own battles and cannot repent for themselves. Whoever would so make a rumor should think of that for awhile.

I think rumors are based on truth but the person adds a lie or two into it.

Rumors are something people with low self esteem start. They are rarely true, but just twisted truth.

The truth CAN'T be a lie. A lie, can't be true. Truth is truth no matter what. The truth is there, but we might misinterpret things sometimes, and make it into a scenerio that isn't true at all. The truth however, doesn't change nor does it alter. It's just there.


Rumors are results of people, in my opinion, not having anything better to do so they go out and start dumb things. Although, rumors can also start from misunderstanding and someone taking something completely wrong. Although, I have to say, they're kind of pointless. As long as you know it isn't true, why bother with them? I say just ignore them.



If it's a "twisted truth" then it technically wouldn't be true to begin with. -_- Truth doesn't have it's twists. What's true, will be true. So, technically, a rumor, if you want to call it "twisted truth," you might as well just say it's a lie and it's false. It may hold some truth within it, but the rumor itself wouldn't technically be true because it has false information within it.

please just make em' up to make them selfs look better. I don't really listen to them since they aren't true.
