I already paid half to the modeler to begin with his work. It will take aproximately a month to finish it. He already told me that her staff was done, for he started to work with the figure even before the initial payment.
We discussed body details and colors on the last time I met the guy, and he showed me some of his work...my! I got impressed! He even brought a body that was exactly what I thought for Aerin's body, only smaller (1/8 - Aerin figure will be 1/6).
Aha, even the details...
Actually he asked me if I wanted a figure like the one he brought me to see...for the details went down to exact replicas of "all" female human body...and I mean "all". I told him the figure was not geared to hentai displays. My story is not hentai nor ecchi, even if sensuality is present...
But I got impressed with the details he is able to sculpt into the models he makes. That assures me Aerin will come out as I expect.
I asked him to pay attention to her face. As I finally got what I wish for her facial features, I want the model to be like I made here. Body details will be more detialed, but facial effect I want like I did here.
For her eyes, well,, you can see from where I got the inspiration I am sure. Thus I gave him a Tsuruko image for him to see what I want.
Hair will be done with effects like individual strands...and color scheme will be as in this image below.
By what we talked already, it will be a really nice model. Aha, as her wings are half spread, it will take a big space on my collection. :wub :P
And there it goes. :)
My intention is to add my own creation to my growing collection, and also have a visual add to my now real science fiction project. As I will have the original templates, after this first model I will even be able to replicate her. The original will be done in epoxy and plastic, but I will be able to build others from resin after the first is done ^.^
I am paying a considerable amount for this beauty ( aproximately 400 dollars...and that after some bargain from me) but it is worth, both for my own collection and as a business tool up ahead.
As soon as I get it ready I will post the model.

So how have you been as it's been far too long since I heard from you and how is moving forward coming along?

Hello BZ!
After a really long time away from online activities on a more frequent basis, I am back.
I have been really busy the last year, and in the end of the past 2007 I made some decisions about my future activities and what I want to do from now on.
Personally I am quite well, and so is my family. I am working hard as of late, but that is quite good.
I have taken some decisions in the end of the last year, which will get me into track again of what I should have done a long time ago, which is work with creation and writing/drawing/animating in the long run. I have stalled far too long and now I am intent on pursuing this.
Other than that, I am trying to improve my anime/manga/science fiction/figures colections, and I am working to bring ANTITHESIS into a full professional project. Aerin figure is first for my collection, but it may help a lot with the story idea up ahead.
About MOVING FORWARD, chapter 10 has a lot already proofreaded by Knightwolf, and I am considering posting what I have ready so far, as it has been a long time since my last update. The story has a lot to happen to it, and I may start posting shorter chapters in order to speed up the posting process. I have some new surprises on Chapter 10 as well.
I am working on the remainder of the chapter, and it may be soon ready to be posted. Some of the drama will be more present on the upcoming chapter and what it will reveal about the story.
Glad to see you again and I expect to be more present from now on.

What's the manga you would recommend the most and why?

| What's the manga you would recommend the most and why? |
This is somewhat a though question, for I have read so many mangas up to now and I really love them all.
Well, if it is to talk about my recent aquisitions, lets say then Unbalance x2 and ACQUA
Unbalance x2 has some of the most gourgeous art I have ever seen (and it is not japanese, it is Korean) and the story is a real, life-like drama. The story on issue 2 is becoming a bit more complicated, and I really like the flow the author gives to it. I recomend this manga (or manwha....though I really do not understand why the title...it is a Korean manga, and that is that.)
ACQUA I recomend for the love I have for this warm, nice, magical and tender anime. It surpassess Oh My Goddess in love and warmth by far, and the magic it carries remind me Heinlein's Martian Chronicles or Twillight Zone, only with the Lovely Mode turned high up. Art in both 2 previous anime seasons, OVA and manga is outstanding, and it is a sure recomendation, unless you are only into those fighting mangas, which I really dislike.
Genshiken - The Society for Study of Modern Visual Culture - I got this recomendation from a young soldier at Cincinatti airport, and I decided to check. At first the art did not appeal to me, but as I started reading it I got really hooked by this little piece of art. The way it satirizes the otaku culture, and the characters, they are so funny! I am crazy to finish acquiring the anime first season (more 1 day) and to start acquiring its second season, and yes, I already ordered figures from Kosukabe and Ohno which will be arriving in 3 days. I highly recomend Genshiken.
Now, want a bit more...humm.
El Hazard - The manga is way better with the story, and the art is nice. I really love El Hazard as well.
Mahoromatic - The manga explains a lot more of Saint's homeworld and motivation, even though it is a bit confusing regarding similarities between Earth and Saint. A really nice manga to read.
Yotsuba - Mr. Azuma knows his deal when portraying little Yotsuba. I have a real nice laughing time when reading Yotsuba.
NHK ni Yokossou - As it differs a lot from the anime, it is almost like a new, different story. Drama is heavier in the manga, but there are comedy in it. All in all a good read.
There are more....many more... :XD:

Hope it doesn't look like the Yukari-Mobile from Azumanga-daioh...

Aha!
Yukari-Mobile....I recall Chiyo Chan's state after riding that dreaded machine.
I hope to drive better than that.
I own a Ford Fiesta model 2007. My wife owns a Celta model 2006 from GM. Both are red :)
So those are the ones I drive, not counting the ones I rent when I am in Atlanta.Ford Fiesta -

What's the longest time you've been stuck waiting for your flight to come?
Mine was 7 in Costa Rica... It took me 5 minutes to meet the whole airport.
Nice car there. I don't drive, last time I drove my father's car I almost end up in a corn field XD. Im thinking of atarting to take some driving lessons tho

Hey VH-dono.
So, do you have any gaming systems at your place? If so, what games are among your favorites?

Ah, memories.
As I fly StandBy (employee status is always such if not travelling on company matters) we are subject to the space availlable on a given flight. Thus once I got stuck 2 days in New York awaiting a seat to fly back to Brazil. Dreadful experience: no hotels and my wallet was stolen in Miami. I got only 40 bucks on my pocket and my passport. Gosh, that was terrible.
You see...for me as a Non Revenue passanger, it is Bliss or Bust. If I fly I do it on Business Class...but there is always a danger of just not flying at all XD

My son has a PS2, and I am now contemplating buying Xenosaga and play with him...still undecided though. I have not started on games yet, and Xenosaga may be my first attempt on the matter

Is there any short but good manga that you can recommend me to buy? I'm bored of scanlations since there's no manga provider around here and taking advantage of my mother's trip to Australia I can see if I can get my hand on some.

Ok...
Lets see.
You could buy "Because I'm a Goddess". It has 3 issues, and I liked the story and Art.
Then there is "Comic Party". It is a really nice story, different from the anime and very well done. It has 4 maqngas to it.
Then there is Azumanga Daioh. It is comprised of 4 really funny tomes. Now they have released the full editions in one thick volume as well.
Now, you could try to find some hard to find issues series El Hazard (3 books) and Stellvia (2 books). Those re really good mangas.
Ah, also RahXePhon. It has 2 mangas to it, and they are very good, albeit very different from the anime.
If I recall more I will tell you :P
