Some older people don't take people younger than them seriously. I guess it's because they think we aren't as educated as them, which could be true.

^ yes that is the best explanation

but really, would you want three year olds or something to have the same rights as adults? They don't know how to express their opinions yet, which is why they have to get an education first, so that they could mature and treat their rights with respect

hrmm,

Young people tend to only think about their needs no one else.

like example, when you do like school shopping, do you care how much the item cost or care about how good it'll look good on you?

You'll begging mommy and daddy to get you something you really love, but in the end you betray their trust. Sadly.. :]

You grow up hating your mom and dad because you think they are too strict and too mean and too bitchy, because they take things away from you and you don't like that.

You yelled back at your parent like you know what you're doing.

You as young people wouldn't know what your parents are doing. You try to act like you do, but it doesn't go through your brain, it goes through one ear and out the other ear.

yes you can lie like you act like you know, but behind that computer is somebody who is just fooling themselves acting like they know.

But I don't expect you guy to know.
But even so you guys are still kids.
And yes everyone thinks about themselves, but to some point where they don't want to hurt someone else.
But to kids, for once they want to be righter then their parents, because of the little opinions taht they have.

opinions funny, yes please do say whatever you want. I would love to see you support yourself when your parents kick you out of the house. =D

You have a roof on your head, food that you dont by and clothes and yet all you guys so is b**ch and b**ch all day long acting like you people are something, but really you're nothing.

You kids should be greatful. instead of being pain in the living crack all the damn time acting like you guy have a right to complain about stuff here and there.

Excuse me? I had every right to complain as a teenager and as a child because my parents were fucking lousy. I mean no child should've lived the way I lived. I love my mom to death but the only good thing she did was teach me morals and values. Financially, emotionally there wasn't nothing there. So I had to move from house to house because we were so poor and everywhere we went, drama came with it. I can't speak for everyone, but some if sometimes if I didn't nag my parents to do the *right* thing for me,it wouldnt've ever gotten done.

That's the problem right there. People keep downing the youth when they should be uplifting them. Saying they're nothing only makes them believe it,which ENCOURAGES bratty, bitchy behavior. If you hate children then just come on out and say it. Don't belittle an entire age group because of what SOME teens do.

"You have a roof over your head."--That arguement is old and played out. You know why? Because just because you live in a house doesn't mean what goes on in it is OK. There could be horrible things going on in that house but hey Joanne shouldn't complain about her daddy emotionally abusing her which will cause her to be insecure throughout her life until she has a breakthrough because "She's fed and clothed" everyday.

Again it surfaces right back on the adult. So if your child is acting up it's still your fault.

I been downing youth ever since. Its also the kid to like be better then the parent and not try to be just like them. But I guess you wouldn't want to because if you argue back and try to be right, you are just like your parents.

Yes you blame everything on the parent, it's human. I mean I blame alot of stuff on my parents but I found out it was myself, once they lefted me. but anywase.

It's the parents fault blah and blah, but it's also your fault because you couldn't seem to understand. yes parents are human they have problems and they seem to take it on you, wel duh no one should live like that so, when you hit 18 get a job and move out, simple as that, unless you are just someone who will b**ch and b**ch and not do anything good for yourself?

The whole fault shouldn't just be on a parent. When parents get defensive kids get offenses and try to get back harder. It's a justice of pride and matter! whoppy.

Maybe because you compare life to Halo 3 =/

It's because we teenagers are looked down upon as not caring about world affairs. We don't pay taxes, we don't really do much, so why should we be entitled to a say at this point in our lives? Now if you're implying why adults don't quite take us seriously, it's because we're younger, and are still in school. Would you take a five year old seriously if he began talking about world affairs and politics?

Ignoring all arguments, let's look at the one fact that shatters this entire argument as a whole:

It is possible to be self educated. A ten year old can be more educated than a 50 year old, simply because they sought knowledge, and found it. For some reason, people don't believe this. They must think that your brain gets bigger, or something, but it doesn't...

In short: Kids and teens have opinions, but adults don't wanna recognize it. Also, teens shouldn't be allowed too much power, 'cause honestly... we have so many hormones that it makes us think and do such stupid things...
