Okay, so we made Semiotic a MySpace and I was wondering if you guys want in on this too. Basically make a MySpace. Could be great for promotions. :)

Iam all for it, i mean if it does anything it will only help :). I think this was brought up before and the admins didnt want to do it, or maybe not, dont remember lol.

Why Myspace? Why not one of the other load out there? Myspace isn't something everyone has.

Besides, comcentrate on one thing, the forum, don't waste time with a myspace when we need this place to get more active.

I personally do not use Myspace. Tried it, disliked it. Either way, it does not bother me. Although I do agree that focusing on the forum would be better.

I don't care all that for myspace and personally don't see it doing anything for us.

Not many here even have one so I see it as pointless and a waste of time IMO.

Actually, a myspace could help because a lot of bands add you and just random people - from there, others will discover you.

I like the idea. I had one for my old forum and it was good to send out updates and stuff - It's like an added feature.

A myspace doesn't take THAT much work, either. It's just making it, then checking every so often for people adding you.

Also updating it, you will have to be online to post announcements, talk to people and so on. (If you want it to get noticed) And, in that time you could be working on the forum.

Ever heard of multi tasking?

Ever hear of to much time? Besides, that's more of a social networking site. Not a way to promote a forum/site.

Besides, we do have the mainsite as well (And meta tags + higher search engine rankings = more members.)

Give me time. I am but only one person trying to do a 14 person job.

you should try running two large forums... you have to know how to multitask to do what I do every day. ^_^

However time is valuable and is best used on what will help you the most in promoting the forum. I don't see how promoting CL on Myspace is going to help us as myspace users aren't really forumgoers from what I seen.

if you are going to not post at a forum then why join?

why do kids hate forums? well there\is barely any activity,\
and you need to post more topics of what they like
not just yourself and a few people/ give ideas and keep going.
if you cant keep running a forum you shouldent make one
in the first place/ not talking about this forum specifically but
that is my opinion. i am sorry if i offended someone but

No, since both of you are getting the wrong end of the stick. I never said try multi tasking to you two, I was simply answering the guys question about how you can run a forum AND a myspace. O.o

never had a myspace always gone for forums myself.
