Title: Poptart's Rants, numero dos!!!
Description: this time about the ESRB and stuff

First off i'd like to say to those parents that blaim their kid's suicide on the violent videogames they played to go screw themselves.

now that we have that out of the way. I hear talk of people saying that the rating on a game is a little unfair, and that it needs to change. First off you guys have to actually pay attention to whats going on in the game, you have to look for the worst part of the game. The ESRB is set up that the game company sends them a bunch of money and a clip of THE worst part in the video game. The company watches this clip, and then decides on a rating. For AO games the worst scene/part of the game is probably a sex scene, thats why games like Gears of War is M instead of AO, just alot of blood and shooting. The ESRB is set up to protect us kids, to make it so that we aren't exposed to things that aren't suited for us. but then again that also depends alot on the Parents, parents have to pay attention to what their kid is buy, what their kid is playing, and if they see anything thats not suited for their kid, then take the damn game away!!!!! Don't blame your son's suicide or your son going into his school and shooting ten people on video games, blame it on yourself for not paying attention. Now you may wonder why i didn't say son/daughter, honestly, when was the last time a girl shot down her school and her parents blamed it on violent video games? So basically deal with the ESRB, its their to help, and parents pay more attention to your damn kids!!!!

wow, short rant today XD

Most of the gamers are boys anyways, girls got so many other things to do besides 1's and 0's, the ESRB kinda fails at determining multiplayer games, where anything can go...

to maybe understand why school shootings are more popular we might have to look into the weapons and the user. Bombs are too hard to make, an average person would not know how to build one, knives and blades are too old school with their low K/D ratio (plus someone stronger can easily overpower the user) that leaves guns to be the most efficient terror weapon. Not only they have the range to harm, but the efficiency as well.

my opinion on the violent video games as the cause of suicides? bunch of bull. Woe for society that makes them turn to the games for their solace.

And I still don't understand this nonsense about vidjya gahmhes teaching people how to kill.

I've only held a functioning gun once in my life; back when I was a kid. It wasn't even a real gun. And I kept missing all the balloons.

You don't just point and pull the trigger. You need to have some skill to use a gun. There's the gun's recoil, the weight of said gun and a few other factors as well. You don't just point and shoot like you do with a mouse or a wiimote.

I absolutely agree with the first post. Couldn't say anything better.
