I think it should be expanded, and made so you can advertise profiles (like myspace, imeem, freewebs, etc) and allow members to post advertisements about the, not just forums. Same goes for button advertising.

This is actually a great idea! I really like this idea to be honest, it's very unique and gives people the opportunity to show off things other than their forum.

The only reason that made me think of this, because I was going to advertise one of my own, but then I noticed I couldn't. :P

As far as button advertising, it's strictly for forums. But as far as the yellow pages, that doesn't seem to be a bad idea. But I do want to see what others think before this is implimented.

I also support the idea of the Yellow pages being used for things other then forums. We could have a subforum in the yellow pages for non forums or we could just keep it all in one forum like we do now.

The guidelines would have to be modified a bit along with extra templates in place for other types of sites but yeah it's doable.

I wouldn't mind advertising blogs, non-forum sites, and fanlistings of mine.

I support it however if we do do it then we have to organize it alot more then it is since i think it would look stupid if we just mashed every kind of advertisment into one forum, you know?

Its only inactive because not a whole lot of people have forums(which is what currently the yellow pages are limited to) to advertise and they just dont wanna make one just for the opportunity to advertise it so it would expand the variety of sites users could promote within that section. I personally wouldn't mind getting some plays and views on my music myspace I have xD. So i'm all for this idea.
