Welcome to another solid & surprising edition of the CL Times! It is I your dishwashing, cake
baking, salad making, ice cube breaking host Top Kirby!
It appears that CL is making a HUGE comeback & turnaround in activity again! Some of you
may hate those "Get Active" PMs but man they certainly do help our cause each & everytime.
No worries though since we have our NEW Mailing List ready, Get Active PMs may now be
bumped to ONCE every 2 months or unless we get GRAVELY inactive. (Lets hope that doesn't
happen again for a while.)
Well, before we leap into the REALLY major goodies that this newsletter has hosted....lets
hit the numbers of our continuosly growing CL Statistics!
CL now has 2,717 Members, over 78,000+ Posts, MAJOR Activity, INCREDIBLE NEW Revamp,
and so much more! This summer CL will be approaching it's 1 year anniversary so that is quite
the major accomplishment as no board I have ever run or worked at has lasted this long. This
will be a true monumental celebration when that day comes.

CL Newsbit #1 - Pokemon Wifi Tourney pushed to LATE April!
Apparently, it appears I've been corrected as Syarith reminded me that I originally
moved it to later in this month due to the Brawl craze being extremely high in addition
to other elements. So you fellow trainers have a few additional weeks to get your teams
ready so I'd suggest preparing now if you haven't been!

Freelance Writer's Haven #13
Welcome to another FWH segment! Today I have decided to showcase a story
by Tailz called "Twilight Hour". I certainly hope you all enjoy it. If possible, give Tailz
a PM and let him know what you think should you give it a read.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
The sound of the people walking through the hallways of the schools was almost comforting
for some reason. It made him feel normal and not diffrent,For he was an Other. Now you may
ask "What is an other?" An other is a person with the ablity to enter the Twilight and draw
energy from it.By drawing energy from it they can cast spells not like a wizard but a magacian
as their called. But of course theirs other creatures who can enter the Twilight. Theirs
werewovles, and vampires too but their considered weak. Now that you know you may ask
"What keeps them from destroying humanity?" The answer is the treaty between the light
and dark.It stops humanity from being wiped off the face of earth....
Kei opened his eyes and stared at the empty high school hallway in front of him.To many
people were in his way and it was certain he'd be late getting to his next class."I know I
shoulden't do this..."He muttered under his breath.Kei took a deep breath and his shadow
became more vibrant. He stepped into it and the world turned into a shadow of the real world.
A world with little color...The Twilight or as some called it The gloom.Mositquitos buzzed around
him as he looked at the clock. Here time clicked by slowly and the only thing living was
mostquitos and that weird moss. His eyes searched around looking for the door he needed.
Then he saw it,it was glowing a slight off white,he ran towards it and stepped out of
the twilight.
"Hello Miles." Kei said as he wiped the sweat from his forhead.
"Hello Kei." He repeated.
"I know you didnt interupt my school work for nothing what do you want." Kei growled.
"We want you to join the watch." Miles said smoothly.
"No.I gave you my answer goodbye" He turned to leave but Mile's arm was around his shoulder.
If Kei wasen't fast enough miles could step into the twilight and break his shoulder.
"Come on....Brother." His body disappeared and Kei's eyes grew wide. Miles had stepped into
the twilight. Kei was to late too.A seering pain shot through his arm then it was gone...He peered
through the twilight."Damnit..." Kei said as he held his shoulder "He broke my arm and
disappeared."
Kei sighed and stepped into the twilight running towards the hospital.

Pokemon Review Of The Week #5
Welcome to another HOT off the press TK Pokemon Review! This week I'm gonna touch down
on one of my personal fav Water types in the game.....Kingdra.
-=TK's Suggested Moveset=-
Kingdra (Modest)
Attached Item: Life Orb / Leftovers / Expert Belt / Damp Rock
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor
Ok this should be a VERY fun review as I've always wanted to let people in on Kingdra's
incredible potential in battle! For attached items as you can see, you can go in MANY
directions. If you want even more power behind those attacks, Life Orb is the way to go.
After a Rain Dance + Life Orb, not VERY many things will be standing in Kingdra's path.
Leftovers is there to heal up some battle scars as nothing can outright OHKO Kingdra
except a Draco Meteor from an opposing Dragon type so he could find the healing
properties useful. Expert Belt could give some more OMPH to his "Super Effective"
Ice Beams on Grassers, Flyers and other Dragons so that's something you may want
to consider. Damp Rock helps to keep Rain Dance in play for additional turns and
will keep Kingdra faster all the much longer with his "Swift Swim" characteristic.
Ok, now that the item options are out of the way....lets start analyzing his attack options!
First off, Kingdra's opening move should always be Rain Dance as with Swift Swim it will
boost his Speed and he'll be damn near faster then anything and it will double the power
of his ALREADY insanely powerful Hydro Pump!
Speaking of Hydro Pump, Kingdra w/Rain Dance can use this to GREAT effect! 120 Base
Power Water Special w/STAB & Rain Dance boost.....you won't find many Pokemon surviving
this attack if it hits so yeah this is a must on a sweeping Kingdra. His spc.atk in Modest nature
jumps to about 315 so he will be putting on some serious hurt with the move.
Ice Beam is pretty much a standard on any Water Type with an excellent Spc.Atk and Kingdra
is no exception! He can use it to fend off those Grassers who think they are safe from Hydro
Pump. Also, being able to take out the many Dragon/Flyers in literally ONE hit sweetens the
deal as after a Rain Dance....not even a Dragon Dancing Salamence or Garchomp will be able
to outspeed our slick seahorse!
Draco Meteor I have on this set in the event you should ever run into ANOTHER Kingdra as
Hydro Pump and Ice Beam won't be doing a whole lot to it. That and it's a 140 Base Power
Dragon Special w/STAB coming off of Kingdra's Modest 315 Spc.Atk so it will be doing some
massive damage even if it doesn't OHKO but you better switch after you use it cause that harsh
Spc. Atk drop won't do Kingdra any favors.

CL Newsbit #4 - Activity Improving Immensly Again!
I must say, CL has made another solid recovery coming back from major inactivity! I knew
it would happen at some point. It seems our new Mailing List & Get Active PMs have played
a large role in reviving our activity level. Not to mention I managed to find a few new boards
to hit & advertise CL at and that is always good.

Anime Judgement #11
Ging: Welcome to this week's Anime Judgement Segment. I am your Host, Ging, with my three
co -hosts, Nam, Jason, and Morendo.
Morendo: Raw raw fight the pow...oh wait that was last segment...
Ging: [insert fun greeting here]
Ging: This week we are judging the anime Code Geass.
Nam: *Starts playing code geass theme song*
Morendo: The first being much better then the second.
Sheyenne: Bad theme in my opinion. Then again, not my favorite composer either. XD
Nam: It was all right.
Ging: Okay, so for starters what was your first impression of this anime?
Nam: Lelouch is the shiznoid.
Sheyenne: To me, it reminded me a bit of Full Metal Panic, minus the funny/humorous parts.
Morendo: Okay, first thoughts? Your typical mech so with characters who are somewhat nut.
Nina anyone?
Sheyenne: I wanted to throw Nina off a cliff.
Sheyenne: A very STEEP cliff.
Morendo: As did I.
Sheyenne: And then I hope there would be jagged rocks at the bottom.
Ging: My first impression was impressed. I found it to be addictive and fun.
Morendo: I was my first impression would have been the same. I read where you said it was fast
paced, [in Ging’s in-depth review] but I didn’t think so at all. Just a normal paced show if you ask
me.
Nam: It was pretty fast at times, then slowed in the middle, then picked up again at the end.
Ging: What do you mean? It is very much fast paced in the beginning.
Sheyenne: I do agree. I couldn't catch on until toward the 7 or 8th episode.
Ging: The first episode was very fast and intense in my opinion.
Sheyenne: Then I was so lost that I was confused through the rest of it.
Morendo: Fast? Intense? I disagree. Just like "meh...whatever" I didn’t like it until
episode 7 – 8.
Nam: I liked it since the start.
Sheyenne: It was decent, but to me, it's not my cup of tea.
Ging: I agree with Nam on this one. I liked it from the start.
Ging: Okay, so who was your favorite character?
Nam: Lelouch for obvious reasons. He had badass powers, smart, and for some reason, all the
girls wanted him.
Sheyenne: That is true. And I will agree that was the character that impressed me toward the
latest part of the Anime.
Morendo: Orange was funny, I forget the name of the chick but whoever slept with ougi or
however you say/spell it.
Sheyenne: I can't remember his name, but I know who you are talking about.
Ging: I love C.C. she's my favorite because she is a pizza addict, and is amazingly awesome.
(I know, I am so descriptive)
Morendo: lulz pizza hut.
Sheyenne: LOL. I was thinking that same thing. As far as Lelouch goes, I kind of confused on
why they called him Lulu? That would remind me of a female. And he definitely wasn't a female.
That's for sure.
Ging: Why do they call people named john Johnny? Same reason.
Morendo: Well, it's like the syllables you know "like Lelouch (has a Lu...Lu) to it)
Nam: I hated Euphie, Suzaku, Nina, and Shirley. They were just shallow and boring.
I hated Suzaku's goddamn righteous attitude. And Euphie was so clueless that I wanted
to shoot her. And Shirley...she's such a typical anime character. Boring. And Nina...well,
she's crazy. I think this show was more loving to hate the characters than actually liking
them. They all had an agenda; all were trying to be deceitful. But I couldn't stop watching it
'cause I wanted to know what they're going to do next.
Morendo: Euphie = hilarious end.
Sheyenne: I still say that someone should shove Nina into Suzaku and throw both off a cliff.
Nam: Oh yeah; character designs were done by CLAMP. That's why they look so skinny and
shojo-like.
Morendo: Oh yeah I did not like that.
Sheyenne: I was surprised that CLAMP did this anime. When I found out that info, it made
a bit of sense that the characters were like they were.
Ging: I noticed their bodies were very odd looking as well.
Morendo: Did not like the character designs at all. <_>
Nam: They only did the character designs. They were hired because the show was intended
to appeal to pretty much every anime fan. And CLAMP is you know...pretty famous.
Morendo: Yes I know.
Sheyenne: That is true.
Ging: Yeah.
Nam: I was okay with the designs but god. Everywhere you go online, they got gay pictures
of Suzaku x Lelouch...
Nam: Who do you think was the hottest girl in the show?
Ging: C C hands down no question.
Sheyenne: That one, I would have to agree with Ging.
Morendo: I didn’t like any of the chicks. but I guess CC beats them all by a country mile.
Nam: I like Villetta, lol. Tan girls are hot.
Sheyenne: Somehow, I knew you would say that Nam.
Ging: Okay, Positives and Negatives. First the Positives,
Morendo: Even if you don’t understand the story 100% like myself, you're motivated to
keep going.
Sheyenne: The positive that I got was once you are hooked in, then you can't put it down.
Ging: I think that the anime has good characters, great plot, and plenty of fan service.
Morendo: Some people say it has "the cleverness of death note" but not really. It’s just like
...lets TRY to have death note quality tactics.
Ging: Well, I do think it has a lot of death note qualities.
Sheyenne: Good quality fan service is always good IMO.
Sheyenne: I haven't watched much of Death Note yet, so I am not to sure on that just yet.
Ging: It is far more suspenseful than death note, but a hint lower in intellectual cleverness.
Nam: Production is by Sunrise, a pretty well known and old company. They did the Gundam
series and Cowboy Bebop. Though the animation wasn't the best, it was good enough. It was
suspenseful, and exhilarating. Music was okay. It did what it was needed. It did what it was
meant, which was to make the show appeal to pretty much everybody...and Japan is really into
it right now. I like the wtf moments. I love to hate the characters. I can't wait for the second
season.
Ging: Okay, Negatives?
Nam: To be honest, I think Death Note is pretty overrated...
Morendo: I don’t love to hate the characters, I hate them period. and although I love cowboy
bebop I hate gundam wing, and don’t force me to rant on why.
Morendo: Of course you're going to say one of the most popular animes is overrated, my
negative? Lelouch isn’t as smart as he think he is.
Sheyenne: Pretty much, a few of the characters were so damn psychotic that it kind of drowned
out the whole Anime. And with Ryan, I agree with. He tried to do something that he was not.
Nam: Of course I am. I'm so typical...
Ging: I think that you guys covered more of it.
Ging: Okay, on a scale 1-10 how would you rate this anime?
Nam: I didn't like a lot of the characters. The music didn't blow my mind. The animation wasn't
the best. It was just pretty average.
Morendo: What Nam said.
Morendo: My rating 6.5/10?
Sheyenne: I was thinking about a 6. Basically complying with what Nam stated on the average.
Ging: 9.76/10 xD I loved it, perhaps I am just one of the over-rating fan boys in this case.
Nam: 8/10. I dig the wtf moments and can forgive a lot of it's flaws lol.
Morendo: Most likely.
Ging: xD alrighty then.
Morendo: Season two comes out in April right?
Nam: Go see Code Geass R2 coming this Sunday in Japan (and most likely fansubbed
in about 20 hours)!!
Morendo: Right right.
Morendo: This Sunday.
Ging: That wraps up this week's Anime Judgement Segment, Have a great week,
and watch Season 2!

CL Newsbit #5 - New Segment Still Being Thought Up!
I was originally gonna start a NEW Segment in this CL Times but I couldn't really come
up with anything. But if you the CL viewers have anything interesting & original I invite

CL Member Interview #24
Welcome to another highly anticipated Member Interview! Today, we will sit down with Koal
and get to learn a little more about him. Anyways, grab a food & drink, plop down someplace
and enjoy!
TK: Great to have you here!
Koal: I was wondering when you'd get to interviewing me! GET ON WITH
THE INTERROGATION!
TK: My first question, how did you first get started with boards/forums?
Koal: I think it all started with a good friend of mine who introduced me to his forum
called Unreal archangels. I've since been migrating to all sorts of forums.
TK: What was your first ever board? Did you meet & make any new friends at all there?
Koal: Unreal archangels I believe was the first forum I went to. The only person there that
was actually a friend to me was the Forum administrator, who is also my friend in real life.
TK: Ever own any forums yourself? If so which was your most successful to date?
Koal: Never really owned any forums. Besides, don't really know anything about the
ACP to start a forum.
TK: Name some of your favorite forums to visit & post at!
Koal: Zeta Operation, Clounge and I think thats is just about it.
TK: What board provider do you find and favor best to use? IF, IPB,
Phpbb, VBulletin, etc?
Koal: I have no preferences.
TK: Now to touch down more with the real you! What's your name?
Koal: I was named after Alexander the great. A name that I have yet to live up to.
TK: Where do you live? Do you like what it has to offer? Is there
a lot to do there as well?
Koal: Arizona. Isn't exactly much of interest here for me. VIRTUALLY NOTHING TO
DO EITHER.
TK: What's your favorite food? Also, what is your favorite drink? Your welcome to
name several!
Koal: Seafood and Cajun food. I prefer Dr.Pepper and Cream Soda for when I want
something to drink.
TK: What's your favorite music? Also, what is your favorite book? Your welcome to
name several!
Koal: I prefer Alternative Rock, Industrial and Metal. My favorite book would have to be
Ciaphas Cain: Hero of the imperium.
TK: Do you have any pets? If so please share and tell us about them!
Koal: I've got two dogs. One is a purebred Siberian Husky, the other is a Husky and
Malamute mix. I've also got a Guinea pig who is at least 6 or 7 years old. Surprisingly old
for a Guinea pig, since their life span is estimated at 3 to 4 years.
TK: Are you currently in a relationship? If so how is it going?
Koal: I haven't been in a relationship in two years. I will start looking once I'm finished
with school.
TK: What's your favorite video game & console? Your welcome to list several if you want!
Koal: Thats a tough one...... I'd have to say any game in the Command and conquer series.
As for game systems, the SNES is arguably my favorite game system. I've had that game
system for over ten years and I still play games on it.
TK: What's your favorite TV shows & anime? Your welcome to list several if you want!
Koal: CSI, though as of late I can't hardly stand to watch CSI as it has become WAY too graphic.
I haven't watched anime in years, so I can't really say much on that part.
TK: Any final comments that you wish to share with our CL audience?
Koal: Its not the graphics that makes or breaks a game. Its how fun it is to play the game.
Also, DON'T DO DRUGS CHILDREN. IT MESSES WITH YOU BRAIN.
TK: Thanks for your time!
Koal: THE AMOUNT OF SPACE THE ANIME JUDGMENT TAKES UP IN THIS NEWS LETTER
IS HUGE. IT TAKES UP MORE SPACE THEN MY X-BOX DOES.
---
That about wraps up this edition of the CL Times! Next week, hopefully I'll have a BRAND NEW
segment for all of you to read & enjoy. It seems the Anime Judgement is getting more interesting
by the week. I must give Ging & his crew props for always making it a fun & exciting read! Keep
it up guys!
Anyways, that will be all for now! I certainly hope you have a GREAT weekend.
Take care everyone!
