It’s 2008. There is a video game console called the Nintendo Wii. A wannabe-American pre-teen by the name of Selin Jintry knows of this system, but does not bother to get it. He then gives in to the temptation and goes to his local Targets, Best Buys, and even Walmart or Sears. All sold out. There is one further option – he can access eCommerce sites like eBay or Amazon and acquire the Wii. The only problem – All the Wiis that he finds on those sites are all over the price of $300 USD – money he doesn’t have, nor does he have a credit or a debit card so there’s still no possibility of him getting one. Not much is known of Selin except that he will do anything just to fit in with the in-crowd, which is the main reason he wanted a Wii – he didn’t want to be alone in the new gen Nintendo console universe, but for many years he was. UNTIL...
---------Many Years Later-----------
Luckily for him, his chance came about in the year 201R. Now in 201R, he was in his late twenties, but still he wanted a new gen console – and so he got it –The Nintendo Rev2. This was the Wii with backward compatibility and even more enhanced features. He had always wanted to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii also. In The Nintendo Rev2 was released back in 201N; however Selin wanted to get it when the price dropped to at least $150 USD, because when first launching the Rev2 was about $415.75. So he waited. Fortunately for him, in 201R the Rev2 was available at Target for that price. It was the last one they had which was also lucky for him. They had two copies of Brawl left also. One copy was visible to all customers; the other was exclusive for a bundle. The bundle was a Rev2+Brawl bundle which was about over $300 USD. However, they would only give to one person – free of charge, as well - and that person was Selin.
They told him, “Selin Jintry, our valued customer…. Since we are generous and kind people…we will not make payment for this Nintendo Rev2 +Super Smash Bros. Brawl bundle mandatory for you. Actually, we’ve been holding it for you since your last visit. To be truthful. . . . This is the only Nintendo Rev2 in the world. The company entrusted us with it and they told us, ‘When the time comes, give this extraordinary console to a man named Selin Jintry’, but how they knew of your existence is a surprise to us even. We knew in this time period, in 201R, that you’d come back to us and want something just as good as the Nintendo Wii you wanted back in 2008, but much, much better. The company warned us, ‘This console is too dangerous for distribution…hold on to it and give it to Selin.’ What we don’t know is how dangerous it was, but the company also told us something we could not understand: They told us that it could make the player feel like he was in the world of the game he was playing. Having not understood this, we stated, ‘But every kid, teen, and adult feel that way if they’re playing the game they love so much, they feel as if they’re in the game itself when they are not! It isn’t possible!’, however… we never confirmed if it was possible or not, we told them, ‘But, we will take your word for it. ‘, so we never bothered to try it and we followed orders…Now that you’re here , please take it…please, or all our waiting and efforts shall be nothing if you do not take it. We need you…the company wanted us to give this to you to see if you could withstand the danger of it and come back alive. If you do happen to return, you may do what you wish with it – you may keep it but never touch it again, or you may smash it with a hammer or axe. But what we recommend is you come back here and return the Rev2 to us. Now, take it.”
Selin took the Nintendo Rev2 + Super Smash Bros. Brawl bundle and drove away from there to his house in his blue Chevy Corsica. While driving, he thought to himself, “I wonder why the Nintendo Company wanted to give me of all people the only Rev2 in the world... and exclusive to me,without charge? It just seems too good to be true. Also I wonder what dangers may lie within…the dangers they spoke of, I wonder what they could be…well, there’s only one way to find out.”
Nice read, nice read. Give us a part 2, ok? ^^
