Title: Loch Ness Monster
Driver - May 14, 2008 11:14 PM (GMT)
Is the fabled beast of the Loch Ness, a myth or a legend XD
DO you believe in the legend?
Magmortar75 - May 14, 2008 11:16 PM (GMT)
Nope not one bit.
We're not going to see the thing until we see dragons first, which will be never. <_<
Driver - May 14, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
That is the most rudest thing in the world :P
When i go and find it, you will see :P
But regardless, loch ness or not, there is something in that water that they havent found yet :P
Ryanplex - May 14, 2008 11:56 PM (GMT)
Maybe its not what we think is down there but i do think that thier is deffently something down there.
Just look at the giant squit or selacanth (SP?) both we thought were things of legends too.

I'd like the legend to be true, but I'll never know for sure. There's probably some kind of creature living in there.

What makes this "Intellectual"?
Personally, I don't think anything is down there, and nor do I care if there is.

I agree and am moving it back to the gen. chat section.

I don't believe it. Any mortal being would be dead by now unless there was a large population of them...If there was such, they would have been found by now. There is wayyy too much investigation on the river [including constant surveilence] looking for this beast that not one specimen could have slipped by let alone a whole community of them.

It could be an intellectual discussion if people are talking about it from a scientific point of view
Ryanplex - May 16, 2008 05:01 PM (GMT)
Ya thats what i was thinking when i moved it. I seen on TV where people get into debates about this and thats what i was thinking would happen here. If you just want people to say they belive in it or not then it should be in the general chat section.

Loch Ness is the second largest Scottish loch by surface area at 56.4 kmē (21.8 sq mi) after Loch Lomond, but due to its great depth is the largest by volume. Its deepest point is 230 m (754 feet) ,[1] deeper than the height of London's BT Tower at 189 m (620 feet) and deeper than any other loch besides Loch Morar. It contains more fresh water than all lakes in England and Wales combined, and is the largest body of water on the Great Glen geologic fault, which runs from Inverness in the north to Fort William in the south.

-It's not a river, its a loch :P
However there are 6 major river's flowing into the Loch, which doesn't make sense, unless they have "Constant Survelience" on the Loch and the 6 rivers, to the bottom and sides of the Loch 24 hours a day, dont you think that might waste a bit of money :P
And in reply to this on my last comment- Its deepest point is 230 m (754 feet)
This may now be void, as thanks to one of the Nessie hunters, they have a found reading going to 812 Feet, which may be able to show some lights, as what it appears to be is a Cavern Network, which could lead to a discovery of where different specimens may or may not be hiding. Unfortunately however, the cavern is still under examination, figures huh :P

It's a myth, if it were true, then surely by now there would be some sort of inconclusive proof, i mean after all, there must be a lot of people spending a lot of time just watching and waiting, with cams on the standby, and yet, no video evidence???
Driver - May 18, 2008 05:10 AM (GMT)
No there are not just people watching a loch that big.
It would take allot of people to sit around the entire loch, and anything connecting to it 24/7 waiting for something to happen.
On top of that, if there are any caverns or undertaker passages, that have yet to be located, then we wouldnt know if they resurface anywhere.

Funny story, sorta related to the loch ness monster, a friend of mine works at a local cinema and she told me some weird dude is renting it out for one day in the upcoming month to talk about how he thinks....i should rephrase that...he "knows" sasquatch is real and how he saw him etc etc had tea with him etc etc, the guy wrote books about it and whatnot, one of those self proclaimed knowitalls about a bunch of bullshit.
Well me and a few friends decided to go get wasted and attend his lil presentation, hell maybe then he'll be able to convince me, convince me that he's not REALLY crazy but just took one too many drugs.

Despite that, i say you're drunk. It does not exist.. Don't waste your time.
Driver - May 18, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
Oh its a pity :P
Guys like that, ruin anything that might be a discovery later on in life.
Like the guy, that took a video of something moving in the water, anyway it was on CBS or fox10 news or something, and then they find out hes the author of a book about Faries Existing.

....
I think you misread what I just wrote.
I'm not going there because I believe him, I'm going there drunk just get some laughs out of the guy.
And as i said he'll prolly convince me that he took one too many drugs in his lifetime. Dude will prolly be frying on acid as he makes his presentation.
garretjax - May 23, 2008 05:56 AM (GMT)
I would love this to be true but in all honesty i cannot see it, there would simply not be enough food in the Loch to support a famiy of these things and there would need to be more than 1 of them if they were to survive for this length of time
