Title: Class of 2008
Description: Graduation approaches

Beautiful Prince - May 18, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
Yeah, graduation is approaching very fast. Most graduate early June (5th - 9th) and some a bit later (15th - 30th) but whatever the case, the time sure does fly. It feels like just last week I was a freshman and lost like hell in the high school, and now I'm graduating.

Graduation is a happy moment, yes, since then you can truly begin living your life. And you get to not worry about any more forced schooling and can attend college to get a degree for whatever career you may be aiming for. Some may not even need college at all, which would save themselves a lot of money (Which is a godsend in this day and age).

Graduation also means saying "Good-Bye" to friends (and, yes, even some teachers). Its why I wrote some good-bye letters to teachers. I had them all years and putting up with me is a real challenge. They saw me mature from the immature a** I was.

I was almost sent to an alternative high school. Luckily I matured and was allowed to stay in the main school. I even grew more and more independant. I am an ED student, yes, but that didn't stop me from growing and maturing. A lot of ED kids become great people. ED just means Emotional Disorder or something along those lines. I am not sure what makes a kid become an ED kid but through you get people who help you every step of the way.

Though they will let you go into the main classes once they feel you're ready for that. You rely on them less and less as you start to mature and more capable of handling what regular kids handle. While you will never fully be away from it you can get it to the point of them just being your 'relax and calm down' area when you're having a rougher day.

Those ED teachers have helped me so much and I treated them like s**t, I really did. Now I look back and see - finally - just how great they are. I just wish I had noticed sooner. I will miss them a lot, that's for sure. They helped me maintain good grades when a lot of kids don't have that support. I was lucky to have them and was blind to that simple fact till this month. *sigh*

And I am leaving behind a lot of friends. Many are Juniors but I also am friends with some sophomores and freshmen. And those friends are ones I only see in school so basically after the final day of school, I never see them again. That'll be painful. I will miss them all dearly.

Though until late-August I will have more freetime. I won't start working full-time till late-August. Its the best time for me to begin. I want to enjoy summer and with graduation, the party, GF's b-day, concert, Independence day, and my b-day all coming between June - Aug. 4th I wouldn't be able to hold a full-time job until then. :3

Graduation will be huge for me for those reasons. I am both excited and nervous. Not sure which is the dominating feeling right now. Guess I'll think about.

So for you - are you graduating? if so, any plans for post-graduation? If not, when do you graduate?
